Illegal Green Lake Skate Bowl Will Cost $33,000

Crews with Seattle Parks and Recreation are dismantling an unauthorized skate park on Duck Island in Green Lake this week. The large concrete bowl was built by a group of skateboard fans in response to a do-it-yourself contest from Nike and TransWorld Skateboarding. Church Turned Home Listed in Green Lake

Many homes in Seattle have unique stories and long histories, but this home in Green Lake is especially interesting. The converted church, built in 1914, served as a place of worship for a number of denominations over the years, said listing agent Beth Bylund. Seattle May Privatize the Green Lake Community Center and Evans Pool

The city of Seattle is considering a partnership with an outside organization to renovate and manage the Green Lake Community Center and Evans Pool. Green Lake Apartment Building Catches Fire

The Seattle Fire Department reported a fire in an apartment building in Green Lake at about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 2nd. According to SFD, the fire ignited in the multi-family residential building in the 7400 block of 5th Avenue NE (a few blocks away from the main commercial district of Green Lake.
