Green Lake Neighbors Concerned About Local Church’s Homeless Outreach

By Joel Moreno Perceptions that a church group planned to open another homeless shelter brought out riled neighbors in Green Lake on Tuesday night. Rabid Bat Found at Green Lake Park

A rabid bat was discovered in Green Lake Park last Thursday, August 17th and public health officials are concerned that people may have come in contact with the animal, exposing them to the fatal disease. The bat appeared to be sick and seemed unable to fly, and a group of teenagers were seen moving it on the pathway on the east side of Green Lake Park, near the boathouse. Community Members Concerned About Privatizing the Green Lake Community Center

With the arrival of springtime, Green Lake is about to become a busy hive for local fishing.
