The Markets are Opening!

Nearby seasonal Wallingford Farmers Market opened recently on May 17th! And Phinney Farmers Market will be opening on June 2nd!  Because of our unusually long rainy season this year in WA State (the longest on record in modern history), some of the farm vendors understandably had a delay with their crops. Creepy Clowns in Green Lake Slow SPD’s Ability to Respond to Real Crime

A myriad of sightings of creepy-looking clowns throughout Seattle have bogged down SPD’s response abilities. It’s actually a national phenomenon, but sightings in Seattle have caused significant frustration for police in Western Washington. Greenwood Gas Explosion Flattens Three Businesses, Damages 33 More

A natural gas leak caused an explosion between Greenwood Avenue North and North 85th Street on Wednesday. The leak was reported just after 1:00 a.m., and an explosion ensued 39 minutes later, according to King 5 News. The blast completely decimated local businesses Neptune Café, Mr. Gyros, and a QuickStop convenience store. Nine firefighters were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
