Green Lake Apartment Building Catches Fire

The Seattle Fire Department reported a fire in an apartment building in Green Lake at about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 2nd. According to SFD, the fire ignited in the multi-family residential building in the 7400 block of 5th Avenue NE (a few blocks away from the main commercial district of Green Lake. Snow-Laden Tree Branch Falls on Man at Green Lake Dog Park

After Monday morning’s excessive snow fall, many trees around the city were laden with an unprecedented amount of fresh snow. The consequences of that were serious for one dog-walker, who was injured when a tree fell on him. Collision Between Fire Engine and Ladder Truck in Green Lake Hospitalizes 8 Firefighters

A Seattle fire engine collided with a ladder truck at about 8 a.m. on New Year’s Day, sending eight firefighters to the hospital and smashing into the storefront of a massage business near the intersection of NE 65th Street and 12th Avenue NE. Driver Kills Pedestrian in Green Lake Hit-and-Run

A 27-year-old woman hit and killed a pedestrian with her vehicle on Sunday at about 7 p.m. The driver was crossing Wallingford Avenue North at N 82nd Street when she struck the victim. Burglar Breaks into Green Lake Taco Shop for Tortilla Chips

On Saturday, November 5th, Tacos Guaymas was burgled for the fourth time in four months, but a high-quality home surveillance video helped to nab the culprit, when he fled the scene after being caught with chips and guacamole.
