Fishing News & Updates at Green Lake

With the arrival of springtime, Green Lake is about to become a busy hive for local fishing. To get the season off to a great start, The Northwest Fly Anglers will be hosting a special Beginning Fly Casting Class starting Tuesday, April 4 at the Green Lake Casting Pier (northwest side of the lake). The course spans six weeks, and occur weekly on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. It costs $60 per person, and space is limited, so sign up while space is available!

And earlier this month, the Seattle Times reported that Green Lake was planted with just over 10,000 trout. According to the Times, “This is one the best lakes to fish due to all the shoreline access. Remember these are freshly planted trout so look for them suspended around the surface or just below. A bobber with Power Bait will most likely do the job.”
