Green Lake Events: Things to Do in April
April offers several fun and foodie events to enjoy, so mark your calendars!
April 2-19: Seattle Restaurant Week at Green Lake Eateries
Dinner | Around Green Lake
The spring Seattle Restaurant Week kicks off on Monday, April 2nd at various restaurants around Green Lake! Participating eateries are offering three dinner courses for $33 Sunday through Thursday each week through April 19th (excludes Easter Sunday). Around the neighborhood, the participating restaurants include: Kisaku, Lucia Italian Kitchen + Bar, Mkt. and Nell’s Restaurant.
Fridays in April: Latona Pub’s Weekly Happy Hour Jazz
5pm – 7pm | Latona Pub
Latona Pub hosts a weekly happy hour in April, with live jazz music led by Phil Sparks, who is acclaimed as one of the best jazz artists in Seattle! It’s inspired by Boots, Barrie, and Murray, with happy hour bites and beer to enjoy while you listen!
Saturdays in April: Seattle Folklore Society Concerts
7:30pm – 10pm | Phinney Center
Visit the Phinney Center every Saturday for a special concert as part of the Seattle Folklore Society’s series. Tickets are $16 for members and $18 for non-members. The April concert lineup is:

April 13: PhinneyWood Art Walk
6pm – 9pm | Phinney and Greenwood Neighborhoods
For the second Friday art walk, sip and enjoy bites for happy hour at local neighborhood spots as you enjoy works from local artists that are featured in businesses along Greenwood and Phinney Avenue.
April 14: Spring Safari – African Wildlife Conservation Day
9:30am – 3pm | Woodland Park Zoo
The Woodland Park Zoo is celebrating the amazing animals of the African Savanna for a special Wildlife Conservation Day this month. Learn in educational keeper talks, engage in special enrichment sessions, and get informed about habitat loss, illegal wildlife poaching, and how your actions can help to save the lions, giraffes, gorillas and other animals of the African Savanna. Free with zoo admission or membership.
April 15: Closing Night of “Ironbound”
7:30pm | Seattle Public Theater at the Bathhouse
Featuring the stories of two working class people over the course of 20 years of their lives, “Ironbound” is available at the Seattle Public Theater at the Bathhouse through April 15th.
April 28: Saturday Family Concerts – The Pop Ups
11am – 2:30pm | Phinney Center
Bring the kiddos to the Phinney Center for a fun, musical event on Saturday, April 28th. The Pop Ups, a Grammy-nominee rock and roll musical duo will be doing two shows (11 a.m. and 1 p.m.) for this event. Tickets are $5 for adults, and kids 12 and under get in free.
April 28: Green Lake Food Walk
12:30pm | Green Lake HomeStreet Bank
Get a taste of the foods from establishments around the neighborhood at the annual Green Lake Food Walk! Presented by HomeStreet Bank, the Green Lake Chamber of Commerce and LoveGreenLake.com, the Food Walk borrows the concept of an art walk to emphasize our neighborhood’s foods. Check in at the Green Lake HomeStreet Bank to receive your prepaid map and wrist band, then head around the ‘hood! Registration is $15 for adults and $10 for kids.
April 29: Top Pot Doughnut Dash
8:30am | Green Lake Park Community Center
Help support Childhaven to prevent and stop the cycle of abuse through programs that protect and treat young children and their families with a special Top Pot 5K Doughnut Dash this April! The race is family friendly, and starts at 8:30 a.m. Registration is $40 through April 28th, $45 on race day, and $15 for the kids dash.
