Green Lake Events: Things to do in December

A monkey trolley tour, pathway of lights, and winter food truck round-up are a few Green Lake events coming up this month.

December 5-6: Winter Festival and Crafts Fair
10am – 5pm | Phinney Neighborhood Association
Get your holiday shopping done at the Phinney Neighborhood Association’s Winter Festival and Crafts Fair, featuring more than 115 craft vendors. Enjoy live music and treats while you shop local goods. Admission price is $2 for PNA members and $4 for non-members, plus a can of food for the Greenwood Food Bank.

December 11: Monkey Trolley Tour
6-10pm | PhinneyWood Neighborhood
During the holidays, the PhinneyWood neighborhood becomes aglow with hundreds of LED-lit monkeys to celebrate the holiday season. Come monkey around while checking out the monthly art walk during the neighborhood’s Monkey Trolly Tour. Rides on the Emerald City Trolley are $1 per person at stops along Greenwood and Phinney Avenues.

December 12: Pathway of Lights
4:30 – 7:30pm | Green Lake Park
The annual Pathway of Lights at Green Lake is a holiday tradition, illuminating the loop trail with luminaries. There will be refreshments, a group walk, and live musical performances by local artists and schools. Guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the local food bank.

December 12-14 & 19-21: Zoo Winter Celebration
11am – 2pm | Woodland Park Zoo
Enjoy the season during the Woodland Park Zoo’s Winter Celebration, where animals are served holiday treats and goodies. Watch the animals go wild over assorted fruits, evergreen trees and wrapped boxes! This event is free with zoo admission.

December 13: Winter Feast Food Truck Round-Up
10am – 3pm | Fremont Sunday Market
The Fremont Sunday Market will feature 20 food trucks during the Winter Feast Food Truck Round-Up, the first monthly round-up of local food trucks presented by the Mobile Food Rodeo. Sample foods and stay warm beneath outdoor patio heaters while holiday shopping from local vendors.
