March 3: Latona Pub’s Three Magnets Brew Day
4pm – 5pm | Latona Pub
Latona Pub frequently features local breweries with a Brew Day. March 3rd features Three Magnets Brewing, a brewery out of Olympia, WA with some exceptional beers.

March 4: Phinneywood Neighborhood Association Book Exchange
11am – 2pm | Phinney Center
Head to the Phinney Center on Saturday, March 4th for a book exchange featuring four genres: mystery, science fiction & fantasy, kids books, and cookbooks. Trade your gently used books for a new read, meet other readers, and enjoy tasty treats.

March 4: Rose Pruning Demonstration
12pm – 3pm | Woodland Park Zoo Rose Garden
Prepare for spring gardening with a helpful Rose Pruning Demonstration at the Woodland Park Zoo, hosted by the Seattle Rose Society. The demonstration is from noon until 3 p.m., with tips on pruning, proper tools, and useful tricks for caring for roses. Professional rosarians will be on hand to answer your questions. Free admission to the zoo’s Rose Garden.

March 10: Phinney Center Gallery Opening
7pm – 9pm | Phinney Center
Meet the artists and celebrate your local community at the Opening Reception for the Phinney Center Gallery Show, Greenwood Rising, a tribute to the art and community of Greenwood after the explosion in March 2016. Prints will be available for purchase.

March 18: Phinney Neighborhood Preschool Co-op Gently Used Kids’ Gear Sale
9am – 1pm | Phinney Center
At this sale, there will be great deals on gently-used kids’ clothing, toys, strollers, furniture, books, maternity wear and more! Get 50% off on many items starting at 12 p.m. to close out the sale. Proceeds will benefit PNPC. Click for details.

March 24: Opening Night of “Grounded”
2pm | Seattle Public Theater at the Green Lake Bathhouse
The next show from the Seattle Public Theater is “Grounded”, which tells the story of an ace fighter pilot whose career is upended due to an unexpected pregnancy. After being reassigned to operate military drones hunting terrorists, the boundaries between her actual location and her assignment across the world begin to blur. The opening night performance of “Grounded” is at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 24th at the bathhouse.
