One of Seattle’s most beloved eateries has mysteriously and abruptly closed its doors this past Tuesday. Paseo, known for its melt-in-the-mouth Cuban sandwiches and ‘round the block lines, has closed operation in both its Fremont and Ballard locations for reasons unknown. The abrupt closure may have something to do with a lawsuit against the restaurant’s owners involving wage disputes and violation of labor laws, according to the Seattle Times.
Paseo had occupied its Ballard location for six years and its Fremont spot for 21. With the pending lawsuit and odd circumstances, Seattleites are left devastated and hungry. See below for comments, complaints, and how Paseo lovers are grieving.
