Listen to soft instrumental Christmas music piped through the trees and bushes as you wander along the paths winding through the Woodland Park Zoo. Enjoy the over 600,000 Christmas bulbs strewn along the way, some in the shapes of animals. Come see the WildLights in full holiday glow.

This is a calm, soothing, colorful walk for those without kids (later in the weekday evening especially), but is also very family-oriented, with activities including a building set up so kids can safely throw soft pseudo “snowballs” and have the option of climbing through a little, rounded (igloo-like) door. Visit Santa when he stops by from December 18th through Dec. 23rd! There’s also warm beverages (including spiced cider, beer, and mulled wine for adults) plus food available for purchase along the way. Sit by a fire pit to chat and warm up.

Most of the animals are given a respite from the crowds stopping through to see the lights. The exception is a rather sleepy komodo dragon, bats, and a few other nocturnal creatures.

Not including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, WildLights is open every night from 5:30-8:30 pm through January 1st.  Happy Holidays!
