Wine Dinner Next Week at Nell’s
Each month, Nell’s Restaurant offers a special prix-fixe wine or chef dinner to showcase wonderful wines and/or amazing chefs that have influenced cuisine or cooking. Next week, on Wednesday, May 10th, the event is a dinner featuring seven wines from Long Shadows Vintners.
These seven wines are ultra-premium vintages from the Columbia Valley, which showcase “the viticultural excellence of the growing region and [honor] the internationally acclaimed winemakers who inspired them,” according to Long Shadows. To complement the wines, Chef Philip has prepared an inspired six-course dinner featuring such dishes as baked oysters, ahi tuna pan bagnat, sweet onion soup, wild king salmon, venison leg, morel mushroom risotto, squab breast and flourless chocolate cake for dessert. The Director of Winemaking and Viticulture at Long Shadow Vintners, Gilles Nicault, will be at the dinner to discuss the wines and answer any questions.
The Long Shadows Wine Dinner will begin at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10th and costs $115 per person, not including tax or gratuity. Reservations are required – call 206.524.4044 to reserve your seat(s).
